Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC in the United States is seeking a seasoned Loan Processor to assemble and review borrower documentation, ensure compliance with RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and other regulations, and support underwriting. You will coordinate with customers, loan officers, and vendors to collect required materials and prepare accurate disclosures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Knowledge of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including Regulation Z and Regulation B.
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower credit, employment, income, and assets for underwriting.
• Assemble the complete loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify that an application is complete and accurate; identify issues for underwriting.
• Prepare a loan approval summary, Forms 1008 and 1003, and ensure accuracy of documents.
• Communicate with the Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter to obtain documentation.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage regulations and disclosures.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain surveys, certificates, title commitments, and payoffs.
• Manage pipeline and submit reports within turnaround times.
• Assist loan setup, closing, servicing, and resolving outstanding items.
• Train and assist supervision of new processing staff.
