Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor to obtain and assemble documentation for underwriting and disclosures. The role requires coordinating with customers, loan officers and underwriters to ensure timely and accurate file preparation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of residential processing experience, strong knowledge of RESPA, Reg Z/B, and DU/LP, plus proficiency in Encompass and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general mortgage lending regulations (Reg Z/B).
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower's credit, employment, income and assets for underwriting.
• Assemble the loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Verify application completeness and identify underwriting issues.
• Prepare a loan approval summary and required forms; coordinate documents with Originator and Underwriter.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage regulations (RESPA, TIL, Reg B/Z) and prepare disclosures.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain surveys, certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.
