Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to deliver high-quality customer service by collecting and organizing documentation for underwriting. You will ensure disclosures comply with applicable regulations and maintain thorough communication with customers and loan officers.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong knowledge of mortgage regulations, and ability to manage a busy pipeline. Training and collaboration with supervision are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general mortgage lending regulations.
• Knowledge of DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower credit, employment, income and assets for underwriting.
• Assemble loan package in proper order for underwriting.
• Verify required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file.
• Complete the required loan checklist.
• Ensure loan application is complete and accurate; flag potential underwriting issues.
• Prepare loan approval summary and forms; coordinate with Loan Originator, customer, and Underwriter.
• Review loans for compliance with mortgage regulations and prepare disclosures.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.
• Verify vendor orders, invoices, and E-file documentation.
• Manage pipeline and timely submission of reports.
• Assist set-up of loans and training/supervision of staff.
• Assist closing, secondary marketing, and servicing to clear suspense items.
