Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Mortgage Lending Officer in New York to originate high quality residential loans and advise clients through the full lending process. The role partners with branch teams and referral sources to grow mortgage sales and client relationships.

Responsibilities include analyzing financials, presenting suitable lending solutions, and coordinating with processors to ensure timely closings, while maintaining adherence to lending laws and Citi standards.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in residential mortgage sales.
• Residential Mortgage experience required.
• 1+ year sales, credit or finance experience required.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan experience is preferred.
• Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives.
• Knowledge of consumer lending laws including RESPA and privacy.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation and lending needs.
• Analyze financial information to assess loan qualification.
• Make recommendations on lending solutions.
• Promote Citi's mortgage products to referral sources and clients.
• Coordinate with processors and underwriters to ensure timely closings.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices as needed.
• Refer clients to other Citi professionals when appropriate.
