Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage is seeking a Senior Mortgage Lending Officer in New York to originate high-quality residential real estate loans and nurture client relationships with real estate agents and referral partners. The role collaborates with branch partners, operations, and processors to drive mortgage sales and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has residential mortgage experience, strong sales skills, and a solid understanding of lending regulations.

Qualifications

• Residential Mortgage experience required.
• 1+ year previous sales, credit and/or finance experience required.
• Proven product sales capability is required.
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong relationship development and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situation and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze financial information including income, assets, debts and credit history.
• Assess whether customers and properties qualify for lending solutions.
• Make recommendations on lending solutions to meet objectives.
• Promote Citi’s brand and lending services to partners and clients.
• Develop relationships with Realtors, CPAs, builders, and referral sources.
• Coordinate with Operations and Processors to ensure smooth loan processing and closing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies and risk controls.
