The John P. Murtha Cancer Center Research Program (MCCRP) is seeking a Molecular Technologist III to coordinate and perform complex molecular genetic analyses, with emphasis on NGS platforms.

Position requires MB(ASCP) or SMB(ASCP) certification and ability to work with hazardous materials in a high-throughput clinical laboratory environment. • Excellent laboratory and technical skills; ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Experience working in a high throughput clinical laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of basic computer programs.
• Good written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• May require U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain T3/Secret Clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and conduct all pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical steps for molecular genetic analyses.
• Develop, verify, validate and test molecular sequencing systems.
• Report results in scientific literature and presentations; prepare briefings.
