Job summary

This on-site role requires strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and safety protocols. The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in a life science and relevant CAP/CLIA lab experience; MB-ASCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or life science per NYSDOH requirements.
• 6 months molecular lab work in CAP/CLIA regulated lab.
• Certifications/licensure required by state or county.
• HIPAA knowledge and patient data privacy importance.
• MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; LIMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Next Generation Sequencing library.
• Extract and isolate nucleic acids and perform sequencing methods.
• Operate automated liquid handling platforms and NGS instruments.
• Maintain quality and efficiency to support Turn Around Time (TAT).
• Document steps per GDP and utilize LIMS for tracking.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and participate in QA activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain lab organization.
