Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Laboratory with a focus on molecular ctDNA assays seeks a Laboratory Technologist III. Applicants should have a Bachelor of Science in a health-related field and at least 3 years of relevant lab experience, with familiarity in NGS or ddPCR and assay platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with relevant lab experience.
• Experience with advanced molecular techniques and high-complexity labs preferred.
• Knowledge of IRB, ACUC and regulatory guidelines preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced research activities under PI supervision.
• Perform molecular lab experiments and data analysis (ddpcr) for ctDNA assays.
• Document all activities in approved notebooks (ELN) and update analyses.
• Generate progress and performance reports as needed.
• Develop and implement policies to support lab scalability and quality.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Provide technical expertise to investigators for project design and feasibility.
• Contribute to special projects and collaborations with external partners.
