Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Mold Technician to set up, start and troubleshoot injection molding processes, including molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment. The role includes mentoring Mold Tech Level One and Two staff and ensuring clean, tour-ready production floors.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus completion of Mold Tech Level I & II and RJG/Decoupled II training, with at least one year of Thermoplastic/LSR setup experience. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must complete SMC Mold Tech Level I & II requirements.
• RJG Fundamentals, Interpreting Graphs, and Decoupled II Molding training completed.
• At least 1 year setup experience in Thermoplastic/LSR.
• Knowledge of IQMS and material handling systems.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding processes and related equipment.
• Inspect molds post-run and report issues to tool room via MRO.
• Operate process monitoring tools such as RJG and Priamus.
• Troubleshoot production problems and identify root causes.
• Record process parameters in IQMS SPC format.
• Maintain a production floor that is tour-ready.
• Mentor Mold Tech Level 1 and 2 staff.
• Follow schedules and keep machines running per documented cycles.
