Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking skilled Mold Technicians for our Wisconsin facility. The role covers setup, startup, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines, robots and auxiliary equipment, with CAPA investigations and mentoring of Mold Tech Level One–Three staff.

Candidates should have five years of molding experience in a technical role, a high school diploma, and completed SMC Mold Technician training. Travel may be required; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of molding experience in a technical role with set-up and continuous improvement.
• Completion of SMC Mold Technician Classes One, Two, and Three.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiment.
• Proficient with mold venting, cooling, and mold steel.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment.
• Verify molds are inspected and treated after product run; report mold problems.
• Investigate production issues and determine root causes.
• Implement corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
• Lead CAPA participation and participate in MRB activities.
