Job summary

SMC Ltd. is a global premium supplier to the medical market with manufacturing experience and a strong growth profile. We seek a Mold Technician to set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding processes and related equipment, mentor technicians, and drive continuous improvement.

You will work on high‑quality production with QA collaboration, participate in CAPA/MRB, and contribute to process optimization while maintaining a safe, efficient floor. English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years molding experience in a technical role with complex set-ups and continuous improvement of cycles and quality.
• Successful completion of SMC Mold Technician Classes One, Two, and Three.
• Knowledge of Design of Experiment process.
• Ability to perform first article mold samples and analyze molding performance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding processes, molds, robots, dryers, and related equipment.
• Verify molds are inspected and properly treated after production runs; communicate issues to tool room.
• Investigate production problems, identify root cause, and implement solutions.
• Develop corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
• Maintain a productive and compliant production floor and accurate cycle documentation.
• Assist in MRB activities and participate in CAPA as needed.
