Job summary

SMC, Ltd. in Somerset, WI is seeking a Mold Technician III for the 10:00 PM–6:30 AM shift. The role involves setting up, starting, and troubleshooting injection molding processes, maintaining molds and process parameters, and mentoring Level One and Two technicians.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma, completion of SMC Mold Tech Level One and Two, and experience with RJG Fundamentals and IQMS. Travel may be required; a fast-paced environment awaits with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed SMC Mold Tech Level One and Two requirements.
• RJG Fundamentals, Interpreting Graphs, Decoupled II Molding classes completed.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Thermoplastic/LSR machine setup and completion of SMC setup training.
• Knowledge of IQMS and material handling system.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding processes and equipment.
• Inspect and treat molds; communicate mold issues to tool room via MRO.
• Maintain process parameters and keep production floor tour ready.
• Mentor Mold Technicians Level One and Two.
• Follow schedule to keep machines running and maintain cycle times.
