Job summary

SMC Ltd. in Wisconsin seeks a Mold Technician to set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding lines, including molds, robots, dryers, and related equipment.

The role mentors Level One and Two Mold Techs and supports continuous improvement on the production floor with strong attention to process parameters and quality collaboration. Applicants should have a High School Diploma, mold tech training, and at least 1 year of thermoplastic/LSR set-up experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed SMC Mold Tech Level One and Two requirements.
• RJG Fundamentals, Interpreting Graphs, Decoupled II Molding classes completed.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Thermoplastic/LSR machine set-up and SMC training.
• Knowledge of IQMS and material handling systems.
• Molds cleaning and proper handling for production runs.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molding processes; interface with QA and Tool Room as required.
• Inspect and treat molds after production runs; report mold issues via MRO.
• Monitor processes using RJG and Priamus equipment; troubleshoot production problems.
• Record process parameters in IQMS SPC format.
• Maintain a production floor in tour-ready condition; ensure machines run per schedule.
