Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Sr. Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician for 2nd shift to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on a range of trucks and trailers in a mobile field setting.

The role emphasizes diagnostics, independent task management, and customer-facing leadership on sites. A valid DOT card or pending DOT exam is required; ASE certifications are preferred. Benefits include weekly pay and company-provided equipment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 3 years' related field experience
• At least 3 years experience with refrigerated equipment
• DOT regulations compliance and DOT physical requirements
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service truck
