Job summary

Fleet Services - A Cox Automotive Company is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile, on-site setting across a fleet of vehicles. The role emphasizes diagnostics, safe operation, and effective communication with clients and teammates.

You will manage parts, document work with the TRAIT app, and ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations while maintaining service truck readiness and productivity.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 3 years related experience, or an equivalent combo of education/certifications.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• ASE L2 preferred but not required.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in field/mobile environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission systems.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details in TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Manage daily schedule and communicate with clients to align on repairs.
