Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II for on-site work, performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on trailers and equipment at customer sites. You will lead diagnostics, triage complex repairs, and document outcomes using the TRAIT app and company tools.

The role emphasizes safety, independence, and high productivity with a dedicated on-site schedule and opportunities for skill advancement and team leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and 608/609 certifications within 18 months.
• CDL-A license and DOT compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on trailers and equipment.
• Diagnose issues and perform repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Manage parts and document work via iOS and TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management for approvals and RO notes.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance on site.
