Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty trucks in a mobile/field environment. You will be the on‑site lead on many jobsites and coordinate with customers as needed.

Evening shift, Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, with remote work option where allowed. DOT background check and valid driver’s license required; 21+ years old; ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; related discipline accepted.
• 3+ years in related field; refrigeration equipment experience preferred.
• Possess and provide hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• DOT regulations and FMCSA knowledge beneficial.
• ASE certifications or ability to obtain within 18 months are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light to heavy‑duty vehicles.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs using electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Keep accurate records and document work performed on RO via mobile device.
• Coordinate with customers and manage parts inventory on the service truck.
• Maintain safety and compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA policies.
