Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field settings. The role requires strong diagnostics, customer communication, and independent scheduling.

Responsibilities include documenting work on RO via TRAIT app, maintaining the service truck, and ensuring safety compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations. Prior ASE goals and relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with related field experience
• ASE certification goals within 18 months
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment and DOT physical requirements
• Valid driver's license and 21+ years old

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field setting
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Inspect, road-test, and document findings with RO using TRAIT/iOS
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory and safety checks
• Interact with customers to assess needs and provide solutions
• Complete DOT forms accurately and on time
