Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy-duty repairs in a mobile/field setting. The role requires automotive tools, strong diagnostic ability, and compliance with DOT/EPA regulations.

You'll work with a team to service fleets nationwide, maintaining safety standards and documenting work using company systems. Comprehensive training and growth opportunities are offered with competitive weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT background screen and DOT physical required prior to employment.
• DOT medical card must be valid and presented if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical truck systems.
• Inspect and test equipment with appropriate tools and instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain inventory on service truck and process RO documentation using TRAIT app.
