Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will manage diagnostics, test equipment, and work under supervision to advance your mechanical skills while contributing to high safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• Must possess and provide a set of hand tools.
• Must obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems and related components.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
• Maintain safety, regulatory, and company documentation; complete DOT forms and RO records.
