Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs across a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose systems, test equipment, and document findings while maintaining safety standards and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes independent scheduling, inventory management, and adherence to DOT regulations, with ongoing training and a clear career path within Cox Fleet.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus related field experience or alternative combinations.
• Must supply a set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
• Document findings and parts used on RO via TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
