Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance nationwide, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy diagnostics in a mobile/field setting.

You will work independently or with senior techs, maintain service trucks, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role offers weekly pay and extensive training opportunities within a large, nationwide network.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related experience, or 5 years’ related experience.
• Must possess hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT regulations background check and physical per FMCSA.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission systems.
• Drive and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and vehicle service truck.
• Prepare and file DOT forms and other documentation.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and PO numbers.
