Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on a mobile fleet nationwide. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and engine problems, manage parts on the service truck, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, 5+ years in related field, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT medical card. A new hire bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5 years’ related field experience or 7 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Current DOT medical card required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and PM inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose, repair, and service mechanical/hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Maintain and operate company service truck, conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors and document RO using TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management for repair approvals and PO numbers.
• Provide excellent customer service and on-site support for clients.
