Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet Services is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, parts coordination, safety checks, and on-site customer communication. ASE certifications and a valid DOT medical card are required, with a 18-month window to obtain T8. Word of mouth benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining may be substituted for a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments.
• Manage parts inventory and perform reconciliation on service truck.
• Maintain service truck and conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide service estimates.
