Job summary

Cox Automotive – USA is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician (DOT) for on-site fleet service support. This role covers DOT inspections, PMs, heavy diagnostics, and on-site repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, ASE T8 and 608/609 within 18 months, and a valid DOT-related credential. A $5000 new hire bonus applies, with 50% after 30 days and 50% after 180 days.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED with related field experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 and ASE 608/609 certifications required within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field conditions.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work with RO, upload photos using TRAIT app, and complete DOT forms.
• Lead on jobsites, coordinate with clients, and manage daily schedule.
