Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. You’ll diagnose electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems on light to heavy-duty trucks and provide high-quality service on-site for customers nationwide.

The role requires CDL-type competencies, tools, and the ability to manage time and parts on the road, with strong communication and safety adherence as core expectations.

Qualifications

• DOT and PM inspections experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Must be able to work independently in a mobile/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, cooling, engine, and brake systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and drive quality.
• Maintain service truck and document work using company tools.
