Cox Fleet keeps your fleet moving. We are hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.

The role involves on-site and on-the-road work, leading on jobsites, triage of complex repairs, and adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations. ASE certifications are preferred; a valid DOT medical card or equivalent screening is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional degrees/certifications welcomed.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience and/or ASE certifications preferred.
• Must have required hand tools to perform duties; DOT/FMCSA regulations apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light–heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, fuel, cooling and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions with handheld instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and coordinate with customers and management.
