Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and triage advanced mechanical/electrical issues on various trucks and trailers, often serving as a lead on jobsites and communicating with customers.

Expect to manage parts, document findings in RO via a company iOS app, and adhere to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience.
• 3+ years with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools to perform duties.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining acceptable; otherwise DOT physical required.
• 21+ years old due to interstate regulations.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain DQ file.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, and other systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen for malfunctions using diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory and on-truck equipment; document on RO via TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
