Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Senior Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks, manage parts on the service truck, and document findings in Repair Orders using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires ASE certifications (T8, 608/609) with preferred additional ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT training and FMCSA compliance required/preferred.
• DOT medical card or DOT physical as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repairElectrical/Brake/Cooling systems and related components.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts inventory on a company service truck and document work.
• Document findings and parts used in RO via TRAIT app and iOS device.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and safety standards.
