Job summary

Rush Truck Centers seeks an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service client fleets on site, ensuring rapid, on-site expertise. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, manage service logs, and support after-hours calls as needed.

The role requires 5 years in Class 7/8 truck service, high school diploma, and ASE certifications; CDL is preferred but not required. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• High school diploma or GED required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSA.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and perform repairs.
