Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. seeks an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support customers with on-site service calls and fleet maintenance for heavy trucks and equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and document work performed at client locations, ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have 5 years of Class 7/8 technician experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to excellence. CDL preferred; benefits include comprehensive healthcare and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and perform assigned duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicles to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical info to perform correct repairs.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, transmissions.
• Document work performed in the company system and communicate with customers.
