Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to service fleets at client locations across the territory. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and related equipment, manage service truck inventory, and document work in the mobile service program.

The role requires 5+ years as a Class 7/8 technician, CDL preferred, and ASE certifications are a plus. Excellent customer communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability a must.
• ASE, Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic truck maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and scheduled inspections.
• Manage inventory on service truck and keep vehicle stocked.
• Report to Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible scheduling.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Document work in company computer system and service records.
• Communicate repairs and recommendations to customers and service writers.
