Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to service client fleets on-site, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs directly at customer locations.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of Class 7 & 8 truck experience, ASE certifications preferred, and a CDL is a plus. A strong safety mindset and customer-service focus are required, with competitive hourly pay and a path for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Medical card as required by the FMVS.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance and document inspections on trucks.
• Manage service truck inventory and keep it stocked.
• Read job orders and plan work procedures based on vehicle condition.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical info to perform repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and document work performed.
• Foster positive customer relations and respond to inquiries.
• Advise on repairs to be performed within the next 3 months.
