Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and essential repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will lead diagnostics and triage of complex issues, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings with our TRAIT app.

A valid DOT card and strong safety record are required. The role supports Cox Fleet's nationwide on-site/mobile services, with options to work remotely while residing in the specified city/region.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 3 years in a related field.
• Possible alternative: 5 years in related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess hand tools and DOT/FMCSA training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in a mobile/field setting.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to verify repairs and safety compliance.
• Maintain inventory and vehicle maintenance records via iOS TRAIT app.
