Job summary

Cox is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to conduct licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced mechanical diagnostics on a mobile/field fleet. The role includes leading other mobile diesel technicians and serving as a site consultant for customers.

You will perform complex repairs, manage parts, document repairs, and ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations while working Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma/GED with 5 years related experience (or 3 years with higher degree/certification).
• Must supply set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Obtain 608/609 certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on light–heavy trucks in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and road-test vehicles to verify repairs and safety compliance.
• Manage parts inventory and prepare repair estimates and orders.
