Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to support our nationwide on-site maintenance network. This role handles licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and diagnostics for light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile setting.

You will operate independently, manage parts on the service truck, and document work using TRAIT on an iOS device while ensuring compliance with safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge and ability to pass pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• ASE certifications or equivalent are preferred; must complete required trainings.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect and road-test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO details using TRAIT on iOS devices.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals for estimates and RO notes.
• Maintain safety checks and operate service trucks per company standards.
