Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and mobile repairs on heavy- and light-duty trucks.

This role involves diagnosing complex issues, managing parts on a service truck, and documenting work via TRAIT app while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The position offers a variable shift with on-site requirements in a mobile setting and potential for additional compensation.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and Preventive Maintenance in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting for light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Proficiency with hand tools and Diesel tools necessary for on-site repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on trucks in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory and paperwork (ROs, DOT forms).
