Job summary

Cox Fleet, a division of Cox Automotive - USA, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs at customer locations. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and high-quality diagnostics in a field setting.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma or GED and are prepared to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) and CDL-A within 18 months; travel is 100% with a remote-friendly option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• ASE T8 (PMI) and CDL-A preferred/required within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated role; valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and PMs on trailers at customer sites.
• Carry out light and advanced repairs and document work on RO using TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company vehicle with safety checks.
• Communicate with customers to assess needs and obtain approvals for repairs.
• Adhere to safety policies and company procedures; maintain productivity.
