Job summary

Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services seeks a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician (DOT) to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on a mobile platform.

This role serves as a lead on jobsites, coordinating with clients and technicians to ensure timely, quality repairs. Eligible candidates will have HS diploma/GED with relevant experience, DOT/FMCSA compliance, and own tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 5 years related experience or alternative combination per posting.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck equipment and electrical systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck assets.
