Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a nationwide mobile basis. You will travel to client sites, diagnose issues, and service a fleet including light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage, with a 5,000 USD new hire bonus and opportunities for commissions or incentives. You may work remotely within the specified U.S.

Qualifications

• Have a HS diploma/GED and 5 years related experience (or equivalent combination).
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT medical card requirements.
• OEM training or ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light–heavy-duty vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engine components.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document findings.
• Manage parts inventory and operate company service truck; use TRAIT app for RO updates.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements.
