Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a mobile/field setting nationwide. You will operate a company-issued service truck and maintain safety checks, documentation, and customer communication on repairs.

This role requires DOT-regulated prerequisites, a HS diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work a variable schedule with remote-friendly options in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3–5 years in related field; alternative combos allowed.
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and maintenance.
• Comfort with daily field service and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Test vehicles, road-test, and document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies; maintain safety checks.
• Communicate with customers and management; obtain approvals for repairs.
