Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives and deploy cutting-edge models that improve operation efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will lead model development, evaluation, and deployment with strong collaboration across teams.

The role emphasizes deployment discipline, scalable architectures, and ongoing learning. Onsite onboarding is supported with travel as needed; AI-driven services underpin a national driver assistance platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of software application development and design experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with Machine Learning systems.
• 3–5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years of Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, especially web services and RESTful APIs.
• Nice to have: tree-based models, DVC, Airflow, and/or SQL.
• Strong understanding of scalable application design and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and curiosity about data-driven business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, feasibility, and scalable solutions.
• Lead full lifecycle ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure best practices in model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated on ML advances and recommend new approaches.
