Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives and deploy cutting-edge models that enhance our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will own end-to-end ML projects and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions across the business.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in ML and software development, strong Python skills, and AWS experience (SageMaker).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software application development and design.
• 3–5 years experience working with Machine Learning systems.
• 3–5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and continuous integration and delivery.
• Experience with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL are nice to have.
• Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Motivated to understand the nuances of data and its impact on the business.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in machine learning, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in machine learning applications and processes.
• Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies to recommend improvements and new approaches.
