Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives. You will design and deploy models to optimize operations and service delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

You will lead ML projects from ideation to deployment, ensure best practices, and stay current with new techniques. The role emphasizes building large, complex systems, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD, with expected 3–5 years in ML and 5+ years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in software application development and design.
• ~3-5 years experience working with Machine Learning systems.
• ~3-5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• ~5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• ~Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• ~Experience with tree based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL are nice to have.
• ~Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• ~Motivated to understand the nuances of data and its impact on the business.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in machine learning, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in machine learning applications and processes.
• Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies to recommend improvements and new approaches.
