Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives, developing and deploying cutting-edge models to optimize operations and service delivery. You will lead projects from ideation to deployment, collaborating with diverse teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years in ML systems, strong Python expertise, and hands-on experience with AWS services and ML tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software application development and design.
• 3–5 years of experience with machine learning systems.
• 3–5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years of experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• Nice to have: tree-based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL.
• Understand scalable design principles and data-driven impact on business.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in ML, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Stay current with ML advancements to recommend improvements and new approaches.
