Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives. You will develop and deploy algorithms to boost operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, leading ML projects from concept to production and monitoring.

Collaboration across teams will define requirements and ensure scalable solutions. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ML, strong Python, AWS SageMaker, and experience with RESTful APIs and CI/CD, plus a passion for data-driven business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of software development and design experience.
• 3-5 years experience with Machine Learning systems.
• 3-5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, including web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• Experience with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL is nice to have.
• Understand fundamental design principles behind scalable applications.
• Excellent communication skills interacting with cross-functional teams.
• Motivated to understand data nuances and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, feasibility, and scalable solutions.
• Lead full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure best practices in ML, including evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated on ML advancements to recommend improvements.
