Agero is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives and deploy cutting-edge models that improve operations and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes building scalable algorithms, collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams, and owning ML projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Python, 3–5 years in ML systems, and strong AWS experience, including SageMaker.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in software development and design.
• 3–5 years working with machine learning systems.
• 3–5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years of Python experience (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, web services, RESTful APIs, CI/CD.
• Experience with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and algorithms to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and feasibility.
• Lead end-to-end ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure best practices in model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Stay updated on ML advancements and propose new approaches.
