Job summary

Agero, a leader in digital driver assistance, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Springfield, IL. You will design and deploy advanced ML models to optimize operations and improve customer satisfaction, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

You will own the full ML project life cycle from ideation to production, ensure model evaluation and monitoring, and stay ahead with the latest ML techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• 3-5 years of machine learning systems experience.
• 3-5 years of AWS experience (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, CI/CD.
• Familiarity with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in machine learning, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in machine learning applications and processes.
• Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies to recommend improvements and new approaches.
