Agero in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives. You will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge algorithms to improve operations and customer satisfaction, driving scalable ML solutions across teams.

You will own the full ML project lifecycle from ideation to production, evaluate models, monitor performance, and mentor junior engineers. A strong background in Python, AWS, and RESTful services is required, with on-site onboarding in Medford

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of software development and design experience.
• 3-5 years working with Machine Learning systems.
• 3-5 years experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, RESTful APIs, CI/CD.
• Nice to have: tree-based models, DVC, Airflow, SQL.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.
• Motivated to understand data nuances and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation through deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to ML best practices including evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay current with ML advancements and suggest improvements.
