Job summary

Agero in the United States is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our machine learning initiatives. You will develop and deploy cutting-edge algorithms to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction across national service operations.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to design scalable ML solutions, lead projects from ideation to deployment, and mentor junior staff while staying current with ML advances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years software development and design experience.
• 3-5 years experience with machine learning systems.
• 3-5 years experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• Experience with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL are nice to have.
• Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with other teams.
• Motivated to understand the nuances of data and its impact on the business.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, feasibility, and scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation through deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to ML best practices, including evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay abreast of ML advancements to recommend improvements and new approaches.
